Nicole Jenkins
Nicole is the offices Executive Director/CVSO as of December 22, 2025 and was hired on in August of 2019. She proudly served in the United States Army from 2010-2014 as a Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, Radiological Specialist. While doing her regular military job she also was airborne and completed over 60 jumps. Her husband, Derrick, also served in the Army National Guard from 2018-2024.

Michele Scott
Michele Scott is a Navy and Army veteran. She served four years in the Navy during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. She served nine years in the Army National Guard with active duty tours during 91, OIF and OEF. Her significant other and step father both served in the Navy and her brother and grandfather are both Marine veterans. She joined our team in May of 2021 for a year. She returned to the office as a CVSO in Oct 2023.

Jenna proudly served in the Army from 2011-2019 as a Signals Intelligence Analyst.
She did a tour in Iraq during Operation Enduring Freedom. Jenna comes from a long line of Veterans dating back to the Civil War.
She joined our team in December of 2023.

Jack is the Transportation Manager/Office Coordinator here at the Veterans Service Office since July 2013. He is a retired Findlay Police Officer and an Army Veteran having served from 1975-1978.

Ed Newton served in the U.S. Army Reserve and retired after 25 years of service in 2019. He served 2 tours of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom. (2003,2004,2005,2006). A few highlighted positions held by him in the Reserves were Convoy Commander, Platoon Sergeant, Training NCO and Master Resilience Trainer. His Grandfather was a U.S. Army Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, 507th P.I.R. and jumped into the Invasion of Normandy on D-Day. His Step-Brother Served in the U.S. Navy and operated as a Seabee during Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. His previous employment was with Precision Strip for 23 years.

Toby Brown
Toby served as a Military Policeman in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired after 20 years of service in 2022. A few highlighted positions held by him during his time was Operations Chief of the Presidential Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1) Security Company and the Anti-terrorism Force Protection Chief for the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF). His Father and two of his Brothers also served in the Marine Corps as well as a Brother that served in the Navy. After retiring from the Marine Corps, Toby taught at Kenton High School for 2 ½ years prior to joining the Hancock County Veterans Service Office in 2025.

Josh served for 10 years on active duty where he deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq with the 82nd Airborne. He transitioned to the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division where he conducted felony investigations and executive protection. Josh served 11 more years with the Army Reserves that included one 13-month stateside mobilization. Josh has numerous family members that served to included his grandfather, sister, brother-in-law, father-in-law and both of his wife’s grandfather’s. He joined our team in May of 2025.

Karen started as our Caregiver Coordinator in January 2025. She previously worked as an Office Manager at Findlay City Schools and The University of Findlay from 2006-2023. Karen’s husband served 4 years in the Navy on the US Inchon and her son was in the Army for 11 years, deploying to Afghanistan, Iraq and Hatti.

Bruce Hardy
Bruce has been a Transportation Coordinator since November, 2014. He served in the U.S. Army from 1970 – 1972 as an airborne infantry squad leader in Vietnam. He has previously worked for the City of Findlay as service director, as a manufacturing engineer for TK Budd and M-TEK, and for Northwestern Mutual Life and Marathon Oil Company.

Warren served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1968 at Ft. Gordon, GA. He attended Georgia Tech on the Augusta campus. Warren returned to Findlay in 1981 where he was Self Employed for more than 30 years.

Mary Ward
Mary Ward has been a transportation coordinator since November 2017. She previously drove for HATS with the Community Action Commission and J&J Limo and was also self-employed for many years. Mary attended Owen’s Community College for criminal justice and has been a Hancock County resident since 1983. Mary’s husband is a Vietnam Veteran and she enjoys serving the veterans in our community.

Randy served 8 years in the Ohio National Guard, and was activated into the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm as a Combat Engineer. He retired in 2018 after working 33 years at Marathon Petroleum. Randy’s daughter currently is serving in the Air National Guard’s 180th fighter wing near the Toledo airport.

Jake DuVall
Jake served eight years in the United States Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman, where he was responsible for the handling, inspection, and management of aircraft ordnance in high-tempo operational environments. In 2019, he deployed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln during the longest post–Cold War deployment at that time, gaining invaluable experience in resilience, teamwork, and mission readiness under extended operational demands.
A proud husband and father-to-be, Jake and his wife are expecting their first child in August 2026. He values family, community, and service, and considers it an honor to continue serving those who have sacrificed for our country.

Bob Miller
Bob is a Findlay, Ohio native who served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1979 to 1983 before continuing his military career with the Texas Army National Guard. He completed multiple elite training programs and deployed to locations including Beirut and Iraq. After his military service, he worked in wildlife conservation with state and federal agencies before returning home to serve his community, including training his dog Maggie to assist with wildlife work. Now retired, Bob remains actively involved in supporting fellow veterans as the Coordinator for the Hancock County Guitars for Vets program, combining his passion for service, music, community, and time spent with his dog Maggie.

Now retired from assist Bob with wildlife work, Maggie remains actively involved in supporting local veterans as the “Assistant” to the Coordinator of the Hancock County Guitars for Vets program, combining her passion for service, music, and time spent with her buddy Bob.

Robert has been a transportation coordinator since March 2026. He has spent most of my professional career in manufacturing in the areas of engineering and quality with area companies such as Harris Corp, Philips Display Components, and First Solar. His dad was a WWII Navy veteran serving as a Seabee in the Pacific on Saipan and Okinawa. He enjoys being able to give back a little by helping our veterans with some of their transportation needs.
